Some Natural Skin Care Tips
The first thing most people notice about someone when meeting them for the first time is their face. This is why it is important to maintain clean clear and beautiful skin. There is many ways to maintain beautiful skin including a massive variety of skin care products and chemicals, and not only are these products expensive they can be harsh on your skin stripping them of their natural oils. So here are a few skin care tips that won’t cost you anything…
Eating Healthy
Unfortunately the saying you are what you eat is very true for some people; just the thought of chocolate can lead to a massive breakout. The trick is known what foods cause your skin to become oily and breakout. Some of the biggest culprit foods are chocolate, candy, deep fried foods, drinks high in sugar and alcohol. You don’t need to avoid theses food all the time just limit them to occasional foods and eat plenty of fruit, vegetables and lean proteins.
Keep Hydrated
Drinking water is not only good for you body but it is good for your skin. Not drinking the recommended 2 litres of water a day can leave your skin feeling dry and rough as well as causing dark circles under your eyes, and leaving the whites of you eyes with a yellow tinge and causing cracked dry lips. Drinking more water will leave you feeling refreshed and energized, just remember if it is a very hot day or you are exercising you may need more then the recommended 2 litres. Also being dehydrated can trick the body into feeling hungry so next time you grab for that snack, think about when you last drank some water.
Exercise
Increased blood flow due to aerobic exercise will positively impact one’s complexion with a glowing look to replace dull skin, as well as getting rid of toxins, stored in fat stores, which can cause your skin to break out or look dull. Exercising will also give you more energy and keep your heart healthy…you’re whole body will thank you for it.
Sun Exposure
While some sun exposure is good for you, too much can burn you skin and cause skin cancer. By using a moderate strength sunscreen, you will be protecting your skin from sun damage, skin cancer, aging and premature wrinkles. Too much sun can blister one’s lips, leaving them red, sore and charred. Sunburned skin will eventually peel most times, leaving skin areas blotchy and sensitive. The best approach to preventing sunburn and other sun-caused skin problems is to monitor how much time one spends in the sun and to avoid sun exposure by using sunscreen with SPF 15 or greater. If you do get sunburnt use a soothing aloe-vera gel or an after sun cream to help you skin repair, putting these gels or creams in the fridge will add a soothing cooling effect when applied. If sunburnt it is also important to drink lots of fluids to replace the fluid you skin has lost. |
